Processing Guidelines

Be sure that you have emailed or faxed your completed and signed copy of the Registration Form, and that you have received and know your account number. Do not ship any drugs without an account number. If there is ever any change in any information regarding your pharmacy’s operations, (e.g. change of address, phone number, wholesaler, etc.) please notify Customer Service immediately in order to be sure that your file is always current. Customer Service direct line is: (727) 499-2211 or (877) 394-5810. Quality Rx Returns is not responsible for credits not received due to failure to notify us of any change in pharmacy information.

    Pharmacy Returns

  • Quality Rx Returns considers drugs to be expired once they are within 30 days of expiring. While Quality Rx Returns allows our customers to control the frequency of their processing, we recommend that our customers process quarterly to maximize their credit. When pulling your shelves, pull all items that are already expired AND all items that will expire within the next 30 days.
  • Quality Rx Returns can accept and processes non-expired pharmaceuticals, but in some cases can only process them at the time of their listed expiration date. This policy is due to some manufacturers’ return goods policies- while some companies will allow the return of products with ‘good dating’ left -many will not. Federal Law prohibits us from returning adulterated pharmaceuticals to you. Therefore, we will hold the products that will be returnable only upon their expiration date and process them at that time.
  • Always write your Account l.D. on the outside of each carton being shipped. When shipping multiple cartons indicate the number of cartons being shipped as follows on the outside of each carton: 1 of 3; 2 of 3; 3 of 3. Then can account for all boxes shipped.
  • Always wrap bottles of liquids (glass or plastic) in plastic bubble wrap and pack with some type of soft packing material (i.e. Styrofoam peanuts, newspaper, etc…). Quality Rx Returns is not responsible for loss of credit for products damaged in transit.
  • Do not over stuff containers (e.g. a bottle marked 100 can not contain more than 100. Some States may consider such action a violation of State regulations and manufacturers will not give credit for this type of product).
  • Any product repackaged from its original container is no longer returnable for credit according to the manufacturers’ guidelines. While there can be cost savings associated with using re-packs, there can also be a loss should the product expire.
  • All Schedule Ill – V drugs must be separated within the master container and marked ‘Controls”. For security reasons do not indicate this on the outside of the carton. Schedule Ill — V packing slips must be completed and included in the shipment.
  • Each pre-paid FedEx Ground shipping label we send you has a perforated section at the bottom that contains very important information that you should detach and retain. You will have to provide this information to us if Quality Rx Returns does not receive your container. Without this data FedEx can not trace a lost shipment.
  • Some manufacturers may incorrectly send “Return Authorization” forms (RA’s) to the pharmacy instead of Quality Rx Returns. Please forward any RA’s you receive from any manufacturer immediately to Quality Rx Returns.
  • You will receive a “Credit Log” as part of the report when we send you the analysis of your shipment. Record each credit that you receive from each manufacturer. Should there be any significant discrepancies between our estimates and the actual amount of credit that you are due, fax or mail the credit log to us to the attention of the Research Department either when all of the credits have been received or ninety days after the process date, which ever comes first.
