Research & Reconciliation

Pill ReturnQuality Rx Returns offers Research and Reconciliation assistance to our customers after they have processed their outdated pharmaceuticals with us. Our Expired Drug Return Service operates as an intermediary between our customers and the manufacturers of the drugs. The companies themselves issue the credit. Credit does not come from Quality Rx Returns. Although manufacturers dictate the return policy and the amount of credit that will be issued for the expired merchandise, Quality Rx Returns wants to ensure that our customers receive all of the credit that they are due.

The following steps will explain how our Research function works:

  1. Credits will arrive via the manufacturers normal procedure for issuing credit (i.e. credit memo through wholesaler, check, product exchange, etc) Typically most credit will be issued by the manufacturer between one and four months following the Quality Rx Returns process date. Customers must record all credit memos that they receive on their Credit Log (figure shown at right). Quality Rx Returns will not research a credit log for customers that have made no attempt to record their credits.
  2. Should there be any significant discrepancies between the actual amount of credit issued by the manufacturer and the amount of credit estimated by Quality Rx Returns, or any credit not issued by the manufacturer, please fax or mail the Credit Log in to the attention of:
    Research Department.

    • Please allow four months from the process date before asking for Research assistance.
    • Due to the limited time that the manufacturers keep their records, Research assistance must be requested within ten months after the process date. Should the request be received after that time, research cannot be initiated and no process fee adjustments will be made.
    • Research may take several months to complete depending upon. manufacturer cooperation.
    • Some. manufacturers will not provide any credit information to “3rd party” companies. In those situations, Quality Rx Returns will provide any supporting documentation that the customer may need to research this credit themselves.
    • Various Manufacturers’ return policies dictate that credit will only be issued if the product is returned by the pharmacy through the wholesaler. Quality Rx Returns can accept and identify these items as returnable and will charge the standard process fee. However, they will be returned to the customer to forward to the wholesaler. These manufacturers will be listed on the Credit Log and you should record this credit. Quality Rx Returns will not be able to research this credit.
